Leveraging Your Content for Website Publishing & Collaboration
MaxWiki offers two methods for creating and editing information to be presented on a webpage. The first method uses the Textile markup language with some enhancements. Similar yet much simpler than HTML, Textile is often preferred by users with some programming background.
Editing using Textile
When editing pages, you can use Textile commands to format the page. The basic editing commands are always shown in the left column of the edit page. You also can look at the advanced editing examples in the lefthand column of this page. The best way to learn the formatting commands is to simply look at the various pages on this web site and see what commands were used to create them.
WYSIWYG - What you see is what you get
The second method uses WYSIWYG editing, and like word processing programs used on Macs and PCs, provides a graphical user interface often preferred by less technical users.
